Hello Friend,

I just wanted to take a moment to share my testimony of how CMPI changed my life. At a young age, I knew I was called to Africa. It was later prophesied over me that I would go to other nations. In 2014 I took my first trip to Rwanda, Africa. That was when my life was forever transformed. My first trip to Rwanda was with Teen Challenge of Oklahoma Adolescent Centers. We helped build a home for a widow who was a genocide survivor, hosted crusades, spent time at Teen Challenge Rwanda, and visited orphanages. When we went to the orphanage, I met the sweetest little boy named Bertin. I knew that day that he was mine. I instantly felt a mother/son connection with him. His story is a little different than most. He was put in the orphanage at a young age because his mom wasn’t in a good mental state due to some uncontrollable life issues she had faced. He lived in the orphanage for several years until the orphanage closed down. Rwanda’s government advocates for the children and they believe in transitioning children in orphanages back into their families when possible. Bertin later transitioned back into his family. His mother is now stable and doing very well. I have been able to be a part of his journey since he was two-years-old through Comfort My People. For $35 a month, I have been able to sponsor him. At one time, his education was minimum, but now he is growing and prospering. He has food on the table, health insurance, and clothes. What a blessing Bertin has been to my life, and what an honor it is to be his spiritual Mama. I may not have given birth to him, but God gave him to me to be his spiritual covering and bless him with the basic necessities of life. Because of CMPI, I can be a part of something much bigger than myself. CMPI is building God’s kingdom, one child at a time. I am so grateful God has let me be a part of this ministry.
